Momentum Metropolitan is proud to announce that it is opening its 5th vaccination centre in Nelson Mandela Bay on Monday 12 July 2021. The site will enable South Africa to accelerate its vaccine rollout in the Eastern Cape.

Momentum Health Solutions has vaccinated over 40 000 people to date at our four centres in Sandton, Centurion, Umhlanga and Cape Town. Our centres are open to any eligible South African who has registered on the Electronic Vaccination Data System (EDVS). We are strictly adhering to the Government’s eligibility guidelines (only over 50s for now, registered professional and non-professional healthcare workers and some other government directed group such as teachers).

“Over and above vaccinating the general public, we are proud to have been able to support Government in the vaccination of teachers across Gauteng and the Western Cape. Our teachers are treasures and have a vital role to play and should have the protection that the vaccine offers,” says Damian McHugh, Executive at Momentum Health Solutions. “As the third wave continues to intensify, we must unite as a country and do all we can to support one another, while continuing to prioritise the elderly and those with co-morbidities, as they are the most vulnerable. Our aim is to ensure we reach population immunity within the shortest timeframe.”

Momentum Metropolitan’s Gqeberha site is located at the Centenary Methodist Church Hall, at the corner of Edward and Stanley streets, Richmond Hill and is operational between 08:00 and 16:00 from Monday to Friday.

All South Africans with or without a medical aid need to register on the EVDS portal to be eligible for a vaccine and visit the vaccination centre to which they are allocated on the given date and time.

“We are pleased to see South Africans visiting our sites for vaccinations and our staff are enthusiastically administering the inoculations day after day. When it is your turn to be vaccinated at one of our centres, we will try out best to make the experience as smooth and convenient as is possible,” concludes McHugh.
